SG F launches its Gabon programme for MINUSCA

01/10/15 Further to the entry into force of the contract,  Sovereign Global France (SG F)  launches its training and assistance programme to bring the 450-men strong contingent from Gabon up to UN standards for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

A SG F team led by Colonel (rtd) Jean-Luc Cuny is already in Libreville (Gabon) to launch the programme which will mobilise twenty instructors and logistics experts in Gabon, in Bangui (Central African Republic – CAR) and New York. To ensure that the Gabonese contingent meets the UN standards for MINUSCA, SG F will perform the following :
  • By the end of 2015, preparation of the contingent’s personnel to be trained in CAR and Gabon and delivery of individual and collective equipment. ;
  • Assistance during negotiations in New York and on-site UN quarterly inspections of the contingent in CAR ;
  • Preparation of the units due to rotate in 2016 and 2017.
Additionnaly SG F will assist the Ministry of Defence during the delivery the vehicles and IT systems provided by the French Defence industry, including Aravis Armoured Personnel Carriers (by Nexter); technical vehicles (by Renault Truck Defence and Sofema), as well as telecommunication systems (by Thales).
