Sovereign Global UK have received an excellent feedback report from the British Embassy, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Providing Defence Reform Advice the report says Sovereign Global’s team deliver ‘excellent communication and we have an excellent working relationship that is professional in its approach and quality in its delivery’. As a result, the project ‘is well on track’.
Sovereign Global UK Managing Director, Jordan Wylie says ‘we are delighted to have completed the first 6 months of this important UK Government CSSF contract and we are determined to match this calibre of service and excellence well into the future’.
Much Defence Reform work is managed from Kinshasa although visits to regions throughout the DRC have been undertaken. Recent successful fact finding and reform evaluation missions have been made to Goma and Kananga where only essential travel is normally permitted. Such is the importance and urgency of Defence Reform in this area that the embassy felt it necessary to agree to and support such visits. Recently, a Small Arms and Light Weapons marking project for the Congolese Police was launched, with to date, over 30,000 weapons already marked and registered by the Congolese Military. This is one of the many reform initiatives run by the Defence Reform Advisor.
