05/08/15 The Republic of Chad’s contingent trained by Sovereign Global France (SGF) for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) is now qualified by the UN and ready for deployment.
SGF’s programme for the preparation of the Chadian infantry battalion (850 men-strong), reserve battalion (425) and Special Forces company (150) for the MINUSMA has entered its final stage with the success of the United Nations pre-deployment visit held on July 6-10th.
On this occasion the UN inspectors have emphasised the preparatory work done by the Chadian army as well as SGF’s assistance, training and support services provided to its General Staff and to the 1,425 peacekeepers of its contingent.
SGF’s instructors have reinforced the operational capability of the three units with a 3-stage training programme: general instruction (Special Forces and Infantry instruction modules), specialist training (combat first aid, counter-IED, topography…) and UN logistics (contingent support, UN logistics chain and operational maintenance of the equipment).
