01/03/15 A leading contributor to peace and stability in Africa, and more particularly in the Sahel region, the Republic of Chad is a major Troop Contributing Country for the United Nations mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
As such, Chad is particularly committed to the continuation of Sovereign Global France’s (SGF) preparation programme for the deployment of its 1 425 blue helmet-strong contingent in Mali: an infantry battalion (850), a reserve battalion (425) and Special Forces company (150).
This programme now enters in its final phase following the second payment from Chad to SGF.
SGF’s teams are mobilised in Paris and N’Djamena to prepare the delivery of the entire UN compliant equipment and the necessary training modules for the deployment of Chad’s contingent.
In the following months SGF will prepare and deliver more than 120 containers to the units and complete their preparation programme in N’Djamena.
Jerome Paolini, SGF President, and Peer de Jong, SGF Deputy Managing Director, have declared: “We are particularly honoured by the fact that President Idriss Deby entrusts SGF to complete this major programme for the Chad Army and MINUSMA”.
